My grandfather Michael Scanlon born 1871 in  Carrowkeel,Ballisodare,Co.Sligo.
Carrowkeel,Ballisodare is in the civil parish of Kilmacowen in the Barony of Carbury.
When my grandfather was born in 1871 ,the RC Church was St.Johns (Calry Sligo Town) Now the Townland of Carrowkeel is in the church parish of Carraroe,Co.Sligo
Michael was the youngest son of John Scanlon and Annie Coggins who were married circa 1858
in Sligo.

It is interesting to note that 3 of the Scanlon brothers (James,John,and Patrick) married 3 sisters ( Catherine,Elizabeth and Mary Jane Murrican) . The Murrican sisters were born in Riverside ,Sligo
